Sweetwater
muslin, video
220 x 100 x 100 cm

A line of cloth unfurls in the shallows.  Dispersed in the water are memories of the freshwater spring, Vancouver Spring at Frenchman's Bay, Albany,  which has connected people across time.  Sweetwater meets salt.  The world changes.

Thanks to Ffion Williamson and John Carberry for their assistance.  Photo:  Malcolm Heberle

Below:  Immersion 2016  paper, ink, photographs, thread, mirror, LED tube,  40 cm x 150 cm.  Exhibited in DRIFT, Viewpoint Inc exhibition, Vancouver Arts Centre, December 2016.  Floating paper islands suggest both the solidity of place and the movement of the sea.
