Web of Gratitude, map transfer with stitching, 2014.

The hand-stitched lines record my daily journeys, by foot and in the car, as I go about my daily domestic routines, recorded over a three month period.  These lines are stitched into maps of Syria, transferred onto cotton sheeting, and presented in embroidery hoops.  My safe, comfortable life in rural Australia contrasts with the displacement and trauma suffered by people just like me in the Middle East.
