This exhibition brought together 31 artworks by eleven renowned Noongar artists selected from the private collections of two Albany residents, Tony Davis and Trevor Garland.
The artists are all connected by a shared art lineage which traces back to the child artists of the Carrolup Native Settlement and to Bella Kelly, acclaimed as the matriarch of Noongar art. The artists were Lance Chadd Tjyllyungoo, Revel Cooper, Athol Farmer Moordipa, Reynold Hart, Bella Kelly, Gig Mansell, Geoffrey Narkle, Shane Pickett Meeyakba, Greg Quartermaine, Graham Swag Taylor and Rhona Wallam. The two art collectors have promoted and championed Noongar art over decades and have created art collections which form a significant cultural legacy.
