I'm interested in the layers of history at this location, on the southern coast of Western Australia.  Once an on-shore whaling operation, it is now a pristine beach.  I imagine how it was in the 1850s, reeked with blood, stench and brutality, and contrast this with the tranquility experienced today.  I think about how the granite rocks and trees have witnessed this history.
